Introducing our new Dinny Hall Woman monthly feature; a place where we interview some of our favourite women to delve a little into their lives and what pieces they love to wear from Dinny Hall.

I’m excited to be unwrapping some Dinny Hall boxes this Christmas (hint hint)!

Juliet Sear

First up is one of TV’s best loved TV cooks; Juliet Sear.

You spend your days creating gorgeous food and amazing creations for VIP’s & celebrities, presenting your own TV show and live appearances… When not cooking for others, where do you love to go to eat?

That is a really hard question as I love going out to eat so it depends on the mood we’re in! Duck and Rice we love for going with a group it’s so fun and the food is great as they cater for all diets, our kids love it. Our local Pub The Crown is always a great go-to after a busy day working, we love it there, or for a Sunday roast. It’s super close to the Dinny Hall Upper Street store.  My favourite food is Italian though – I LOVE carbs, I love Bancone it’s wonderful and so delicious.

Of course it’s hard to wear so much jewellery when you are baking and making, but what one item is your daily failsafe to wear?

A great pair of discreet yet beautifully made hoops are perfect for every day. I love the Twist Small Hoops and for something with a little bit of sparkle the Gem Drop Earrings with Topaz as they are both light and easy to wear and I don’t have to worry about them slipping off into my buttercream!

What three ingredients can you not live without?

Strong white bread flour, salt, olive oil.

You’ve made birthday cakes for some of the highest profile VIP’s including Kate Moss, Bob Geldof and Sir Ian McKellan, who would be on your wishlist to bake a birthday cake for?

It would have to be Eugene Levy, again such a hard question as there are so many people I’d love to bake for so if I am allowed extra I’d say Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Vicky McClure, David Attenborough.

What next for you as we ease out of lockdown?

I’m really excited to get back out there into the real world and meet people. I’m starting Hybrid classes from November; hosted in-person in central London with additional guests able to join via Zoom. So we can all cook along and create together. I had so much fun with virtual events and getting to know my online community during lockdown so I am keen to keep this going. I’ll be doing lots of fun Christmas recipes and content on my Instagram so do follow me and join in!

You recently visited the Dinny Hall Islington store, tell us which pieces you chose and why you chose them.

I’m a real magpie, I love coloured gemstones and also really shiny precious metals. I chose the Suffragette Huggie Hoops – the mixture of Amethyst, Green Peridot and White Sapphire means I immediately spotted them in the shop. I also love the fact that a percentage of the sales go to Women’s Aid. Such an important charity.

I’m generally a very jolly and happy person with a sunny disposition so when I saw the Sunbeam Necklace in the cabinet it caught my attention. It’s a great piece to wear with when I’m hosting TV & online events and lives – I like a statement piece. Now that the world has opened up I am also often running from one evening book launch to a tasting or an awards ceremony so this is a great piece to dress up.

Christmas is fast approaching……What Dinny Hall pieces are on your Christmas Wish List?

I Love the Egg Locket of course because of the foodie reference. I am lusting after the Mae West Aquamarine Ring too, and I am definitely on the good list this year! I am excited to scope out some great pieces for the women in my family too. I think my daughter Ruby would love some Shuga Starflower 14k diamond studs and Lydia would really love the classic Small Wave Hoops. I’m actually saying they would like them so that I can borrow them. I’m excited to be unwrapping some Dinny Hall boxes this Christmas (hint hint)!
